The government earns millions from the dry port and industrial areas in terms of taxes

News Desk October 05, 2015

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has urged the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to repair broken roads leading to the Islamabad Dry Port and industrial areas to help accelerate trade and industrial activities. ICCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh said in a statement that the Islamabad Dry Port road has been in a dilapidated condition for the last 10 years but CDA was paying no attention to its repair. He demanded that the CDA should immediately repair the broken roads as cargo vehicles plying the road often develop faults due to dilapidated conditions. He said the government earns millions from the dry port and industrial areas in terms of taxes but is paying no attention to develop these roads.
