HYDERABAD: Former home minister Zulfiqar Mirza has accused Pakistan Peoples’ Party co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari of impeding the inquiry into the 2007 Karsaz incident. Talking to the media in Badin on Monday, Mirza said Zardari influenced progress in the inquiry of the terrorist attack near the truck carrying Benazir Bhutto on her return to Pakistan. Pointing out the security lapses, he recalled that he was security chief of the rally. Mirza lamented that Zardari and the PPP leadership have forsaken the families of over 150 martyrs of the Karsaz incident.  “Zardari enjoyed power for five years by trading the blood of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.”
