The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will hold a rally in PP-148 on Saturday (today), party workers said on Friday.
They said the rally would start from Ichhra at around 3pm under the leadership of Hamza Shahbaz Sharif. The participants would march through Samanabad, Shadman and Rehmanpura areas where Shahbaz would inaugurate party offices.
PP-148 is one of the two provincial assembly constituencies that make up NA-122 where PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq is contesting a by-election against Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf’s Aleem Khan. “We will show the people of Lahore that NA-122 residents support the PML-N,” said Bilal Popli, a PML-N worker.
Separately, Sadiq inaugurated several political offices in the constituencies on Friday. Speaking to the media, he said people of the constituency had elected him thrice to represent them in the National Assembly.
