Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will start a dialogue series with eminent personalities to share their experiences and achievements with the students and the academicians.

It also aimed at promoting knowledge of the students about the people who achieved distinction in their respective fields.

Prominent literary figure and National Book Foundation Managing Director Prof Dr Inamul Haq Javed will be the first guest at the ‘Mulaqat’ series to be held on Thursday at the university’s academic complex.

This is part of the university’s consistent efforts to develop its main campus as a centre of literacy and cultural activities, said Vice-Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui.

A number of such activities was initiated during the last few months, including skill-based lecture series, distinguished lecture series, book and author series, research colloquium, awareness and advocacy series and media dialogue.

Dr. Siddiqui hoped that such events will be a source inspiration for students and academicians in carrying out their educational pursuits as well as promoting research culture in the country.
