Face Value: Notice issued over sale of ‘bad’ marble

Mian Munir said when the stone was polished he came to know that it was not the kind he had ordered

LAHORE: A consumer court issued a notice on Monday to a marble dealer in a Rs500,000 suit filed against him for selling ‘bad’ marble to the petitioner. Mian Munir told the court that on February 23 he had purchased marble for his house for Rs258,498 from Khwaja Abdul Wasi. He said when the stone was polished he came to know that it was not the kind he had ordered. He said Wasi had refused to address his complaint.
