UAF to mark the National Day of China

The seminar on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be held at New Senate Hall, UAF, at 11am

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) will observe a day celebrating Chinese culture on October 1 – the National Day of the People’s Republic of China. The initiative has been taken on the directives of UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. He said the university would host several Chinese cultural programmes that day. A seminar on China – Pakistan Economic Corridor has also been organised.


“We believe this would help cement relations between our countries and bring the people of both countries closer.”

The celebrations will begin with a presentation of the national anthems of both countries at the UAF at 9am. Students will later present the culture and colours of life in Pakistan and China through tableaux and singing performances.

The seminar on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be held at New Senate Hall, UAF, at 11am.

The itinerary for the day was finalised at a meeting held at the UAF’s Syndicate Room on Monday. It was chaired by UAF Registrar Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain. Public Relations and Publications Principal Officer Prof Jalal Arif, UAF Chinese Confucius Institute Coordinator Prof Dr Ashfaq Ahmad Chattha, Senior Tutor Athar Javed, Tahir Siddique, Khalilur Rehman, Deputy Registrar Qamar Bukhari and other officials attended the meeting.
