Two women were killed while one was injured in separate incidents of violence and family disputes in Swat on Saturday and Sunday.
According to the Swat DPO Muhammad Saleem Marwat, Janas Khan, a resident of Charsadda who had recently moved to Mamnoon Colony in Rahimabad, killed his wife Sehrish Bibi in the area.
He added Janas strangled Sehrish after an argument and killed her on the spot. He successfully managed to flee the crime scene.
DPO Marwat added in a second incident, a woman killed her stepdaughter by poisoning her in Matta. The official explained Rahimzada, a resident of Darmai, filed a case with Matta police stating his wife Rehana went to spend Eidul Azha with her parents where her father’s wife poisoned her. Rehana was rushed to Saidu Teaching Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
