PPP workers decry party’s ministers

KARACHI: Workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) shouted slogans against their ministers during a speech by Jahangir Badar, the general secretary of the party, on Wednesday.

When Badar went on the stage at the Peoples’ Secretariat, workers started shouted slogans against Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and other ministers, forcing Badar to stop his address. Party supporters also protested target killings. Badar responded by saying that protest is the workers’ right and promised to forward their concerns to President Asif Ali Zardari. He also warned of dire consequences if the party leadership is attacked.
