Pakistan T20 captain Shahid Afridi has backed the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with zest and termed it a potentially rich experience for the country's players.
"The PSL is a great opportunity for our players to gain invaluable experience as they will be competing alongside some of the sport's big names," said Afridi.

A glamorous mix of cricket and entertainment defined the launch of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in a glittering ceremony in Lahore, where top cricketers, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials, media personnel and showbiz stars studded the action-packed show.
The league is a franchise-based T20 cricket tournament set to take place in February 2016. Five teams - Quetta, Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore, and Islamabad - will play against each other in the inaugural edition of the PSL. Each squad will consist of a minimum of four foreign players and 12 local players.

The foreign player quotient of the PSL includes some of the top names of the game, revealed through video messages recorded by the players before Ramiz Raja and Najam Sethi introduced the latest signing - England's Kevin Pietersen.
Pietersen is joined by the likes of Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga, Andre Russell, Luke Wright, Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Time Bresnan, and Sunil Narine.
Meanwhile, the league's logo was unveiled through a five minute 3D projection sequence that travelled through historic moments of Pakistan cricket, starting from the famous 1954 Oval test victory. Inspired by Pakistan's rich fast-bowling heritage, the logo is a fresh departure from common T20 logos which are focused on batsmen. The logo mirrors an image of Pakistan's legendary pacer Wasim Akram, who is also one of the PSL's brand ambassadors.
