Justice Qazi Faez Isa of the Supreme Court has urged district court judges to be sensitive towards litigants.
He also reminded them that the trainings, handsome salaries, perks and privileges that they enjoy as judges are meant to provide inexpensive and expeditious justice to litigants.
Without litigants, the whole justice system will collapse, he said presiding over the certificate awarding ceremony at the conclusion of one-week training on “How to be an Effective Senior Civil Judge”. It was held at the Federal Judicial Academy on Saturday.
“Our judges need to be highly sympathetic and sensitive towards litigants. Justice seekers should not feel unhappy, dejected and disgraced,” he said.
People coming to the courts deserve sitting benches, neat and clean public toilets and grownup trees to heave a sigh of relief under their shade.
Advising the trainees, the judge said that a judge should always judge himself, not others. Every day is a very taxing day and everything is for learning is learning experience.
“Questions are the source to knowledge and judges should never be shy to ask any question.
