Nine killed in road accident near DI Khan

All killed belonged to one family and were on their way from Wana, South Waziristan, according to reports

DI KHAN: At least nine people, including women and children were killed when a tractor trolley overturned on Chashma Road near DI Khan on Saturday morning, officials said.

According to initial details, the deceased belonged to one family and were en route from Wana, South Waziristan. The road links DI Khan with Punjab.

Some reports said the victims were Afghan nomads, shifting from one place to another.

The injured were taken to DI Khan hospital, and rescue efforts were underway.

Last week, two family members among seven people were killed in a road accident in Patika area of Muzaffarabad district in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
