Swift action: Police nab ‘extortionist’

The special investigation unit of the police arrested an alleged extortionist on Friday who demanded Rs0.1 million from a lawyer, said a police official. Shahid Habib from Al-Meezan College, Jhangi Syedan claimed to have received a letter placed on his car on September 11, along with a bullet and a death-threat. He also claims to have received a threatening call from a man named Wasif the next day. The police formed a team and nabbed Naeemul Hassan, a resident of Muzaffarabad.
