Emphasising the need of developing stronger business ties, the commercial counsellor of US embassy in Islamabad, Cheryl Dukelow, has expressed the desire for collaborating with Pakistani companies and working with them.
She was exchanging views at a meeting during her visit to the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). “My job is to help US companies find the right partner in Pakistan. We are facilitators of not only US companies but also their Pakistani counterparts. We do not want you to get discouraged, disinterested or concerned in dealing with US companies,” she added.
Dukelow advised the KCCI to directly approach peer chambers in the US, which would communicate their requests to companies that were members of these chambers.
