Oath-taking: AJK auditor general sworn in

The AGP has to take oath from the AJK Supreme Court chief justice as well

MUZAFFARABAD: Auditor General of Pakistan Rana Assad Amin was sworn in as Auditor General of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. AJK Supreme Court Chief Justice Muhammad Azam administered oath of office to Amin in a ceremony held at the Supreme Court building. The ceremony was attended by top government officials, politicians and journalists. Amin has a vast experience gathered over a span of more than 35 years in public service at key government posts in Pakistan. Justice Azam said the AG would utilise his vast experience to make the audit system unique as per expectations of the people of Pakistan and AJK. Under the AJK Interim Constitution Act 1974, the AGP has to take oath from the AJK Supreme Court chief justice as well.
