NEW DELHI:
With the aim of introducing fashion and stylistic preferences from this side of the border, Indian fabric manufacturer OCM has announced a tie-up with Pakistan’s ethnic designer brand Sana Safinaz. Through the collaboration, which is directed towards establishing the brand’s presence in India and overseas markets, OCM has become the sole authorised distributor for Sana Safinaz’s women’s wear in India.

The partnership begins this month with the Sana Safinaz 2015 ‘Silk Collection’, which comprises six new designs, executed in two vibrant colourways, read a statement. Nitin Jain, CEO and managing director of OCM India, feels that Sana Safinaz will not only win hearts in India but also “meet needs of modern Indian women.”

“Progressive India is witnessing a significant movement towards a lifestyle that is conscious of emerging trends in fashion. We see exceptionally high compatibility with Sana Safinaz of Pakistan to meet this need of the modern Indian woman,” Jain said.

The collection will be available in select stores across India for the upcoming festive season. Founded in 1989 by designer duo, Sana Hashwani and Safinaz Muneer, Sana Safinaz is known for its affordable luxury lines that include prêt-à-porter, diffusion, bridal couture and accessories.

The ‘Silk Collection’, as jointly quoted by the designers, will be a bend of luxury with great quality.  “Luxurious superiority, great quality and finish are the special characteristics of the brand and these are manifest in the ‘Silk Collection’,” they said in a joint statement. The line to follow is their winter collection.
