Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Facebook headquarters in the US on September 27 for a Townhall Q&A, Hindustan Times reported on Sunday.

“I'm excited to announce that Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India will be visiting Facebook HQ later this month for a Townhall Q&A,” Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post.

“The event will be on Sunday, September 27 at 9:30am Pacific time. I’ll post the live video here and it will also be on Indian Prime Minister Modi's page,” the Facebook CEO added.

Further, ways through which communities can work together to address social and economic challenges are expected to come under discussion during the meeting between Zuckerberg and Modi.

Zuckerburg also urged his followers to post their questions in the comment’s section, stating that they will try to address as many as they can. “We want to hear your questions. Please ask them in the comments below and we'll try to get to as many as possible.”

In his response, the Indian prime minister showed his gratitude to the CEO for inviting him to the Facebook headquarters, saying he is looking forward for the Townhall Q&A which “will cover a wide range of issues and will surely be a memorable one.”

The Indian prime minister also urged his followers on the social media website to share their questions on Facebook as well as on the ‘Narendra Modi Mobile App’.

This is not the first time Modi will meet the Facebook CEO. Last year, both discussed ways in which the social media giant could contribute to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan or Clean India Mission, a national campaign launched by the Modi-led Indian government.

Listener | 8 years ago | Reply The problem with Modi is his credibility in the west. The west had banned Modi entry for long time being Killer of innocent people. I have never seen any PM including ex-Indian PM of doing such cheap thing like Modi is doing. Further I think Indian PM has nothing to do in India. So the Indian establishment send him on tours to keep him busy. All such public stents including organizing procession in US, Canada, EU and Middle East is just to show the world that he credible.
