Parallel banking: Reference filed against ex-manager
The UBL administration came to know when the accused was forcefully relieved

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan has filed a reference in the Accountability Court Quetta, against an ex-branch manager of United Bank Limited (UBL). Dost Mohammad Nasir, ex-manager of UBL Meezan Chowk Branch misappropriated the proceeds of the account holders depriving them of their hard earned money. He caused a loss to the tune of Rs56 million to the financial institution, NAB said in a statement. The matter was taken up by NAB and the investigation revealed that Nasir kept a parallel record himself and whenever an accountholder presented a cheque, he would pay by consulting his private record.
