Seeking justice: WWB employees threaten strike

PESHAWAR: Employees of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board (WWB) have threatened to continue their protests until they are regularised. This was announced by a large number of employees during a press conference in Peshawar on Wednesday. “We want the government to immediately reinstate a large number of WWB employees and remove Naimatullah Gandapur, the secretary of the board, from office,” a protester said. WWB employees had launched a protest on September 4 over the government’s failure to meet their demands. They blocked Sher Shah Suri Road and also threatened to close all schools, colleges and offices if their demands were not met.
