Fake medicines worth Rs0.1m seized

PESHAWAR: The district government officials seized fake medicines worth Rs0.1 million during a raid in Namak Mandi area of Peshawar on Tuesday.

The officials received a tip-off that fake medicines were being packed to be supplied to markets.

Therefore, a team, led by Additional Assistant Commissioner Altaf Hussain along with Drug Inspector Imran, raided the identified location and seized the medicines.

“The vehicle, in which the medicines were to be supplied, was also impounded and the driver arrested,” said an official of the district administration.
