Bilateral ties: ‘US to continue supporting Pakistan’

Olson appreciates the cooperation of the Sindh government during his stay in Pakistan

The United States (US) has good relations with Pakistan and will continue to support it, said Ambassador Richard Olson on Tuesday.


Accompanied by acting consul-general in Karachi and political officer, he called upon the Sindh chief minister to bid him farewell at CM House. Olson said that he has good ceremonial memories with him, especially regarding educational projects in Khairpur and health projects in Jacobabad. He also appreciated the cooperation of the Sindh government during his stay in Pakistan.

Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah lauded the services that Olson rendered to promote health, education and other social sector facilities in Sindh. "We appreciate the US assistance in establishing schools and hospitals in Sindh," he said, adding that the hospital that was established with US aid in Jacobabad caters to the needs of around 30 million people in its surroundings.
