Apple to launch 'monster screen' iPad pro alongside new iPhone

Apple plans to introduce a new pair of iPads on Wednesday along with the new iPhones, new Apple TV, new Apple Watch bands, as well as a gold anodised version of the Apple Watch Sport.

Gathering details from sources who have tested the new models, 9to5Mac reveals that even the basic version of the new iPad Pro will have features befitting its name.

The iPad pro will have built-in LTE capabilities, and the pricing of the Pro vesions with the LTE chips is expected to compete with Apple’s latest Macbooks.


The new iPads, which boast a much larger screen are truly given Pro capabilities and the iPad Pro’s split screen landscape mode will be boosted to allow two full sized portrait iPad apps to be displayed.

The iPad Pro will have four stereo speakers, a single lightning port and will also include an A9X chip, which will be a major upgrade from Air 2’s A8X.

Further, the website reveals that Apple has developed two versions of the iPad keyboard attachment one of which doubles as a case while the other is similar to the previous Apple wireless keyboards sold for iPads and Macs.

Whether Apple will announce one or both on Wednesday remains to be seen.
