For ‘Demanding Salary’: Public prosecutor dismissed
The commissioner office first directed him to work voluntarily and later dismissed him
ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad chief commissioner on Monday dismissed special public prosecutor of an anti-terrorism court (ATC). Chief Commissioner Zulfiqar Haider withdrew his earlier memorandum appointing advocate Zahid Asif as the special public prosecutor in the ATC-II resulting in his dismissal. The commissioner’s letter said Asif was appointed as the prosecutor on January 26 this year on honorary basis (without fee). Asif, on the other hand, claimed that he was given salary for two months and when his salary was stopped, he wrote to the commissioner. The commissioner office first directed him to work voluntarily and later dismissed him, he added.
