A recognition ceremony was held at the auditorium of Sukkur Institute of Business Administration (IBA) on Sunday, with leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, as chief guest.
Sukkur IBA director Professor Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui said that Sukkur IBA has always supported and encouraged its students to explore their inner skills and congratulated Waqas on his success. Rukhsana Zuberi, president of the Technical Education Foundation, said that she has witnessed Waqas' success and wished that more students were supported by the government so that the youth can win more awards and make the nation proud.
Shah congratulated teachers and parents for motivating and supporting Waqas in his quest.
He encouraged the youth of the country to come forward and participate in similar events.
He expressed his wish that, instead of going abroad, students would select good quality educational institutes such as IBA to pursue their higher studies.
In recognition of Waqas' efforts, Shah presented a cheque of Rs100,000 to the boy, Siddiqui gave the latest core i7 laptop to him, while Tanveer Panezai, an alumni of Sukkur IBA, gave a cheque of Rs100,000 and Continental Biscuits Limited also awarded Waqas Ali with a gold medal.
