
Asjad was thumped 5-1 by England’s Robert Milkins by a scoreline of 68-0, 49-18, 41-30, 35-33, 30-42 and 54-0. However, he bounced back later, upsetting Thailand’s James Wattana 5-2 with a scoreline of 12-37, 41-40, 64-05, 0-41, 73-0, 62-16 and 38-01.
Sajjad was beaten 5-3 in his first match by England’s Matthew Selt but came back strongly to win 5-4 against China’s Yuan Sijun by scores of 01-44, 49-07, 61-09(57), 12-32, 20-42, 0-50(50), 36-23, 38-11 and 37-0.
Meanwhile, Asif had a closer affair against Wales’ Michael White, losing out 5-3. “It’s not an easy event at all with top professional players playing here, but I’m looking to make my mark against them as well,” Asif told The Express Tribune.
