The tournament logo was unveiled by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Haier Pakistan Javed Afridi and Rao Omar Hashim Khan on behalf of Cool & Cool. Director Domestic Cricket PCB Intikhab Alam and President Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) Shakeel Sheikh were also present on the occasion.
The tournament will commence on September 8 and its semi-finals will be played on Sept 14, while the final will take place on September 15.
Twelve teams divided into two groups will contest in the tournament with each team playing five matches.
Speaking on the occasion Intikhab, chairman tournament organizing committee and director domestic cricket PCB, appreciated all the sponsors for supporting the teams of each region and assured competitive game of cricket in the event.
"Pakistan's T20 captain Shahid Afridi and other top players are taking part in the tournament and I am sure cricket lovers will be having great contests," said Intikhab.
"PCB has made all the necessary arrangements to make the event a real success and I'm sure huge crowds would turn out to witness the event."
He added that along with senior players several budding players would also be seen in action.
"We are trying to provide maximum opportunities to our young guns also," said Intikhab.
He said that PCB would closely monitor the performance of players and the event would serve as a window of opportunity for young players to make their way to the national team in the upcoming series against Zimbabwe.
