ISLAMABAD: Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and Islamabad Bar Association (IBA) have constituted a joint committee of traders and lawyers to work for the shifting of district courts from F-8 Markaz. Former ICCI president Muhammad Ejaz Abbasi and IBA President Zahid Mahmood Raja will jointly head the committee, according to a press release issued on Saturday. In its first meeting convened at the ICCI, the committee discussed various relocation options. The committee has stated that the presence of the courts at F-8 Markaz poses security concerns for judges and lawyers, and disrupts the flow of business activities in the area. The committee has agreed to approach all relevant forums for finding an amicable solution, and will hold a press conference on September 10 at ICCI to highlight the issue.
