RAWALPINDI: Field officers of the education board have been directed to help the private students of remote areas in applying for examinations of 2011. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi (BISER) has taken the decision after a complaint was filed in the court against online registration system.

Private schools and students of, class 9 and 10, through their lawyer had earlier contested the decision, on the grounds of difficulties in accessing the internet and filing the applications online. Chairman BISER Chaudhry Abdul Hafiz had then assured the court of facilitating the students.

He said on Friday that officers will monitor and supervise the online system for 10 consecutive days, so that the complaints could be redressed. The field officers have been asked to perform their duties in this regard till the last date of submission, which has been shifted to January 31, which was previously December 19.

However, no complaints have been registered since appointment of the officers.
