RAWALPINDI: Two death-row convicts will be executed in Adiala Jail on Wednesday. According to jail officials, one of the convicts, Zahoor Shah, was convicted in a murder case registered at Jhelum City Police Station in 1992. Sources said Arshad Mehmood, the other convict, was convicted in two separate murder cases registered in 2005. Both will be sent to the gallows early Wednesday morning. Since the unofficial moratorium on executions was lifted in the country, in the aftermath of the Army Public School, Peshawar terrorist attack in December 2014, around 200 death row prisoners have been hanged in the country.
