Higher education: VCs appointed at 8 universities

The Higher Education Department (HED) has appointed vice chancellors (VCs) to eight public universities.


An official from the HED said that Hassan Amir Shah had been appointed VC of the GCU, Lahore; Rauf-i-Azam, the University of Education, Lahore; Tahir Amin, the Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan; Muhammad Khalique Ahmed, the Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan; Sarah Shahed, the Lahore College for Women University; Talat Afza, the Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur; Samina Amin Qadir, the Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi; and Athar Mahboob had been made the VC of the Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan.

VCs are still to be appointed at the Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering and Information Technology, Multan, and the University of Sargodha, the official said.
