Kidnapping for ransom: Enquiry ordered against policemen

They threatened to book Iqbal in a fake heroin case if he failed to cough up the ransom money

PESHAWAR: An enquiry has been ordered against Khazana police station sub inspector Farmanullah and four police constables: Khalid, Mir Aalam, Zulfiqar and Maqbool. They were all accused of kidnapping Muhammad Iqbal from Dagai village in Swabi. According to a police report, the five policemen took Iqbal to a hujra in Khazana village, held him hostage and asked him to pay Rs2 million as ransom. They threatened to book Iqbal in a fake heroin case if he failed to cough up the ransom money.
