Tribal leader killed in Bajaur Agency blast
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack thus far

An explosion caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) Thursday morning in Bajaur Agency, resulted in the death of a tribal leader.
According to a political administrative official, Rahim Gul was killed when an IED, planted on the roadside, exploded. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack thus far.

"Authorities later reached the site and a search operation was conducted," the official added.
Earlier, at least two tribal leaders and a minor were killed while two others were injured in an IED blast in Bajaur Agency's Utmankhel Tehsil area for which Islamic State took responsibility.

As a result of the blast, the two men were killed, while 5-year-old Sahil Khan succumbed to injuries.
Similar attacks have become increasingly frequent in the region.
