KARACHI: The disappearance of Pasban general-secretary Usman Moazzam may jeopardise the success of the Karachi operation and his urgent recovery is necessary for peace in the city, said Pasban Pakistan president Altaf Shakoor, addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Wednesday. Pasban fully supports the operation against terrorists and criminals, however, when no difference is made between law abiding citizens and terrorists, the transparency of the whole exercise might be affected, he said. Moazzam is a well-known social and political figure of Karachi and his disappearance is a very serious issue, he added. Pasban believes in upholding the law and the Constitution and has adopted legal ways for the recovery of Moazzam and his sons, he said, adding that Moazzam had demanded the establishment of Karachi as a province during the by-polls in NA-246 and Shakoor wondered if his family was being punished for it.
