PM directs Punjab govt to ensure implementation of NAP

RAIWIND: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday directed the Punjab Government to ensure implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) to eradicate terrorism from the province. 

The order was passed during a meeting chaired by the premier in Lahore's Raiwind, where he was briefed about the measures taken so far to implement the plan in Punjab.

Several other officials along with Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and IG Punjab police were in attendance of the meeting.

PM Nawaz on Friday chaired a high-level meeting to review the progress of the NAP and the internal security situation of the country in Karachi.

The meeting attended by Army chief General Raheel Sharif discussed internal security and the progress of the NAP in Karachi.

The upcoming talks between Prime Minister’s Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval also came under discussion during the meeting.
