Tortured to death: Body found in Swat River

MINGORA: A body was found from Swat River on the outskirts of Mingora city on Tuesday morning. Rahman Khan, an official of Mingora police, told The Express Tribune two fishermen were trying to cross the river near Bypass Road when they found the remains floating on the river. “They managed to pull the body out of the river and called the police,” Rahman said. “We rushed to the scene and shifted the body to Saidu Teaching Hospital for an autopsy.” According to details, the man was tortured and shot multiple times. His bullet-riddled body was dumped into the river. Police have registered a case and has started investigation.
