Businesswomen: Women entrepreneurs craft put on display

FPPCI has planned to set up a modern display centre for promotion of women entrepreneurs

KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPPCI) has planned to set up a modern display centre for promotion of women entrepreneurs, especially those from the rural areas of the country. FPCCI Standing Committee Chairperson on Women Entrepreneurs Rizwana Shahid said, “Various products including handicrafts, traditional embroidery and cottage industry products by women including gems, jewellery, garments and foods will be displayed for the attention of  foreigners.” The businesswomen will be given short trainings and presentations on different trades and products so that they can promote their businesses and start new ones in a better way, she elaborated. Shahid said Asian and Saarc markets are available for Pakistani garments which can be captured through more value-addition and diversity of products.
