Two intelligence men shot dead

KARACHI: Two personnel from an intelligence agency were shot dead within the jurisdiction of Sukkhan police station on Thursday night, confirmed Bin Qasim Town SP Tanvir Alam Odho while speaking to The Express Tribune.

The victims were from the Military Intelligence (MI), said Odho, adding that unidentified culprits took the victims with them from Baloch Para located between Rehri Road and Bakhtawar Goth. They shot them each once in the head with 9mm and .30 calibre pistols and the police also found the shells from the crime scene. The SP said that according to the documents found on them, one was a sepoy identified as Mohammad Safir Khan, 33, and the second man was Imdad Chandio, 34, whose designation has yet to be ascertained.

The police officer said that the MI was informed about the incident and officials were dispatched to the scene where the victims were identified. The bodies were taken to Jinnah hospital for legal formalities. No case was registered till the filing of this report. An official from the MI who did not wish to be named said that the victims were posted to the Korangi office.
