Auto thieves: Three held, two cars recovered

The gang is reported to be involved in auto theft in the limits of Aabpara and Shalimar police stations

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police on Sunday said to have arrested a gang of auto thieves and also recovered two stolen cars from them. SP (Investigation) Muhammad Ilyas had constituted a special team to nab the gang. The team succeeded in tracing and arresting three suspected car-jackers, identified as Adam Khan alias Aziz Afghani, Noor and Bilal. Khan is an Afghan national while Noor and Bilal are residents of Peshawar. Police have also recovered two stolen cars from the gang. Police said the suspects during preliminary investigation also confessed to stealing cars and selling them in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The gang is reported to be involved in auto theft in the limits of Aabpara and Shalimar police stations. Police are conducting raids to arrest other members of the group.
