Urban Versus Rural: New minister makes cabinet ‘Karachi-free’
Soon after his nomination, Arain who belongs to Benazirabad district took oath as minister
KARACHI:
Following the acceptance of Katchi Abadi minister Javeed Nagori’s resignation, the Sindh government inducted Tariq Masood Arain in its cabinet on Saturday, making the Sindh cabinet void of any ministers belonging to Karachi. Soon after his nomination, Arain who belongs to Benazirabad district took oath as minister. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan administered the oath to him. Some PPP officials claimed that MNA Faryal Talpur played a key role in Arain’s appointment before the local government elections.
