Tired of saggy skin? It could be because of the fat that you lost or due to aging. But not to worry, there are natural remedies to help tighten your skin.

Here are eight effective home remedies which will return your skin back to its natural firmness:

1. Cucumbers

They taste just as good as they work on your skin, no wonder spas use them in abundance. This vegetable contains high levels of moisture which help tone skin. Place cucumber in a blender to extract as much juice as possible, rub onto areas of your skin you feel are saggy and let dry. Rinse off with cool water. Repeat once a day.

Another remedy is to combine plain yogurt with one tablespoon of grated cucumber and apply to your skin. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. Repeat several times a week.

2. Lemons

Collagen is a known skin tightener. Vitamin C in lemons helps boost collagen production in your body reducing wrinkles and subsequently tightening your skin.

It’s as simple as applying lemon juice to your body and rubbing it in affected areas. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse with water. For maximum results do this two to three times a day and follow-up with a good moisturiser.

3. Aloe vera

Aloe vera works wonders on the skin — to treat sunburn, tighten skin, and is a natural moisturiser, etc. Using aloe vera gel can greatly reduce your saggy skin and rejuvenate it.

Take an aloe vera leaf, break it and extract the gel, apply it directly to the skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. Follow this several times a week.

4. Egg whites

Known to contain astringent properties, egg whites are a great remedy for saggy skin.

Whisk two egg whites till nice and frothy, rub them deep on the skin, and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water. You can also apply it with yogurt. Another way is to add one tablespoon of yogurt to one egg white and whisk. Apply mixture and leave on for 20-30 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

5. Honey

A great antioxidant, honey has anti-aging properties which help tighten saggy skin.

Mix two tablespoons of honey with a few drops of lemon juice and olive oil. Stir till it reaches a smooth consistency. Apply, let it dry and then rinse of with warm water.

Try this too: In one and a half tablespoon of honey and sour cream, then mix one and a half teaspoon of turmeric powder. Apply and leave for 15 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water and then end it with a splash of cold water.

6. Oil massage

Using natural oils like olive oil can help tighten loose skin. Olive oil contains antioxidants like vitamin A and E loaded with anti-aging properties.

Warm a little bit of oil, and massage deep into skin for 20 minutes with your fingers in a circular motion. Do this once everyday before heading to bed.

Other types of oils which are also beneficial are jojoba, avocado, coconut, grapeseed and almond oil. Apply them the same way.

7. Rose water

A natural astringent which smells good too. It tones the skin and maintains clear and glowing skin.

Apply it directly to your skin right before bed, this will help tighten pores and slow down signs of aging.

8. Multani mitti (Fuller’s Earth)

Benefits of this element are numerous among which are blood circulation and skin elasticity.

Mix one tablespoon in water (or rose water for better results) and make smooth paste. Apply on skin and let dry, once firm rinse off with lukewarm water. You can add honey to this as well if you wish.
