Investigators probing the deadly attack on the police van in Korangi claimed on Thursday to have obtained the forensic report of the evidence collected from the crime scene.
Four policemen died while another was injured in an armed ambush on their vehicle on August 12. According to initial reports, the assailants were riding motorcycles and fired with 9mm handguns.
The bullet empties recovered from the incident site were sent to a laboratory for forensic examination. According to officials pivy to the development the pistol from which the bullets were fired was used in at least 10 killings, mostly in the same vicinity in the span of a year.
The police records reveal that the first murder from this weapon was committed in August last year. Since then, it has been used in a number of attacks on law enforcers and in sectarian killings.
