“A meeting of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) was held at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi which was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, secretary defence and senior military officers from the three services," it added.
Further, issues pertaining to national security, emerging regional geo-strategic environment, and joint military education and training were discussed in the meeting.
Moreover, the country’s top military leadership expressed its satisfaction over the standard of preparedness of the Pakistan Armed Forces to take on upcoming challenges being faced by the country.
The participants of the meeting also appreciated the relief and rescue operations being carried out by the armed forces during the recent floods in different parts of the country.
The top military leadership reaffirmed the army’s resolve to respond to entire spectrum of threat in the most befitting manner as per comprehensive security strategy.

The JCSC is a quarterly meeting of senior military leadership to carry out the assessment and evaluation of operational preparedness of all three services especially in the context of articulation within the armed forces.
