The Islamabad Police have arrested two alleged bike-lifters and a bootlegger in two different areas.


On a tip-off, the Sabzi Mandi police raided a hideout and arrested two alleged bike-lifters, identified as Khair and Hassan, and seized two stolen motorcycles from them. Meanwhile, the Golra police have arrested a bootlegger, identified as Akhtar Jameel, and seized wine from his possession.


The Khana police have arrested an Afghan national, identified as Khayal Gul, for illegally staying in the country.


Meanwhile, two more bike theft cases were registered on Saturday. One bike was lifted from F-8/1 while the other from G-10 Markaz. People have called upon police to take concrete measures to check rising incidences of auto-theft.
