Mahira Khan in a never-seen-before avatar in Manto

The actress will be playing a madari's (monkey master) role in the upcoming biopic

The recent poster of Manto -- the anticipated biopic on controversial writer Saadat Hassan Manto -- shows Mahira Khan in a never-seen-before avatar.

The actress, who is rocking the silver screen these days with Bin Roye, can be seen sporting a mustache with gelled back hair.



Although, Mahira Khan's name was not revealed earlier by director Sarmad Khoosat -- who will be portraying the enigmatic writer himself in the biopic -- when he mentioned the cast to The Express Tribune, it is now being said that the actress will be playing a madari's (monkey master) role in the upcoming film.

Produced by Asif Raza Meer, Manto also stars Sania Saeed as Saadat Hasan Manto’s wife and Saba Qamar as Noor Jehan.



Humayun Saeed, Savera Nadeem and Faisal Qureshi will be seen in cameos playing roles of famous personalities of that era.
