Armed dispute: 7 dead, 6 injured in family clash

HYDERABAD: Seven people were killed and six more injured in an armed clashed between two groups of the Chandio community in Dadu on Sunday. The clash occurred in Hasil Chandio village located on the Seeta Road. “The dispute occurred between the families of Nazeer Chandio and Madad Chandio over a marital issue,” said Dadu SSP Sheeraz Nazeer Abbassi. The deceased, Suhrab Chandio, Gulab Chandio,Hameed Chandio, Rano Chandio, Ranjhan Chandio, Asad Chandio and  Aasma Chandio, died before reaching the hospital. A married woman from Madad’s family had reportedly eloped with a male member of Nazeer’s family several months ago. The two have not been traced yet but are believed to be hiding in either Hyderabad or Karachi.
