KARACHI: Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has ordered commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui to counter corruption in the municipality. The direction came following the Federal Investigation Agency's raid at Karachi Metropolitan Corporation office during which original files of land allotment, especially those alleging China-cutting, were confiscated. Following the orders, Siddiqui has formed a three member committee that will investigate corruption cases and illegal allotment of land. After the committee completes the investigation, a final report will be prepared and submitted to Siddiqui.
