“The economic corridor will pave way for international trade in Pakistan particularly in Balochistan and the people of Gwadar would be provided jobs after completion of the project,” he remarked at a ceremony arranged by his organisation in Gwadar on Thursday.
Global trading activities in the country will change the lifestyle of the people of the Gwadar port city, he added.
The inhabitants of Gwadar, Ji Ping said, are owners of its natural resources and they should be provided with better employment after completion of the all-pervasive economic corridor.
“Chinese companies are working in Gwadar and more firms and NGOs are willing to work here that will bring revolution in the social sector of the province,” he said.
Citing the Pak-China all-weather friendship, Ji Ping said that the corridor project is a clear example of an unbreakable friendship between the two neighbouring countries.
Meanwhile, chairman of the Chinese Peace Development Foundation B Zhong said: “Our organisation is working in numerous sectors of the province especially in health and education, adding, “We promised that we will provide quality education and health facilities for the people of Balochistan.”
Chairman of the Municipal Committee of Gwadar Abid Rahim Sohrabi welcomed the Chinese delegation and said that the people of Gwadar are happy with the Chinese companies working here and we will welcome more firms to work for the deprived people of the port city.
