In the first phase, the TEVTA would train 6,400 prisoners over a year at 13 jails, Sheikh told a meeting.
The courses to be offered are related to home appliances repair, electrician, carpentry, beautician, tailoring, welding, plumbing, motor cycle mechanic, tractor mechanic, machine embroidery, hand embroidery, computer applications, motor winding, fashion designing and industrial stitching.
The TEVTA and the Home Department agreed to sign an MoU to start the training as soon as possible.
