ISLAMABAD:


The National Book Foundation (NBF) has published ‘Elements of Numerical Analysis’, a new English title, intended to facilitate students and researchers.


The book is a joint composition by Dr Faiz Ahmad, associate professor at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, and Muhammad Afzal Rana, senior scientific officer, Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology Islamabad (PINSTECH).


This is the eighth edition of the book, published under the NBF banner, a news release said on Sunday. The book deals with numerical analysis and is aimed at helping students and researchers who intend to learn the subject on their own.


This book is by no means exhaustive, but is explanatory with appropriate solved examples, the statement said. The 296 page book will retail at Rs250, with a 55 per cent discount for NBF readers club members and is available at all NBF book shops and Islamabad Club’s book shop.
