ISLAMABAD:

The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) and the Korean OAK Commercial Agricultural Farming (OAKS CAF) on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the promotion of agriculture between the two organisations.

The agreement was signed at PARC headquarters by representatives of both sides.

The MoU envisages the development of a pilot programme for holistic land and livestock management, which builds upon experiences of PARC and Sustainable Resource Management Solutions Limited (SRMS).

Both organisations would jointly apply for support grants and secure them to fund the pilot programme(s) besides training, developing skills and capacity to support the initial pilot(s) and to sustain an ongoing programme of holistic land and livestock management. According to the MoU, an ongoing community/SRMS/PARC programme would be set up to monitors change in social, economic and environmental indicators from the baseline.
