Abduction: Body of missing boy recovered

Police on Thursday recovered the body of a 14-year-old boy who had gone missing on Chand Raat and arrested four men suspected of killing him.


A Kot Sambha police spokesman said Shabbir Ahmed, a resident of Chak 84NP, had accused his 14-year-old neighbour Shamsher Haider of having an affair with his wife.He said on July 17, Ahmad and his accomplices Faiz Ahmad, Sadiq and Bakht Ali abducted Haider from his house. The men took him to a deserted house, shaved off his eye-brows and beat him to death. They later buried him near in a field and fled. The spokesman said parents of the deceased had moved a complaint after looking for him for four days. He said police had arrested the suspects. During interrogation, the men had confessed to killing the boy. Ahmed took them to where the body had been buried. The body was taken to a hospital for post mortem examination and later handed over to the family for burial.
